Public Safety
We make public safety a priority at Loyola University New Orleans. It’s our mission to create a safe and secure learning environment for every member of the Loyola community. Our team is on-call to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We provide emergency response, safety, and crime prevention services, as well as parking and transportation support to help maintain security and improve the quality of life for the members of our campus.

Press 1 - For any police, fire, or medical emergency
Press 2 - For any non-emergency (room unlock, motorist assist, escort, etc.)
Press 3 - For any facility or maintenance issue
Press 4 - For any parking or traffic citation related questions

Press 6 - For any IT related issues
If you call from a cellular telephone, you will receive an immediate text message from our dispatch center, which will allow you to communicate by text with a dispatcher in the future for any non-emergency related issues (building access, unlocks, motorist assists, escorts, etc.).
Loyola University Police Department
LUPD offers an array of services that help maintain a safe and orderly campus environment. Our officers are highly trained and passionate about keeping the Loyola community safe. In addition to providing crime prevention education and support, LUPD provides bicycle safety, safety escorts, police details, and other police and auxiliary services to protect the Wolf Pack community.
Emergency Management
From inclement weather to unexpected emergencies, Loyola’s Public Safety Department has systems in place to help students, faculty, and staff prepare for the unexpected. Communication is essential for emergency preparedness, and Loyola provides ongoing communication before, during, and after an emergency to keep everyone in our community informed and ready. After-Hours Counseling Services
Facing life's challenges is easier said than done. Loyola is here to help any time, any day. A professional counselor and a Residential Life Area Director are available to respond to after-hours emergencies 24/7 and can be contacted via LUPD at (504) 865-3434.
